Summary

I think it would be a neat idea to use the various salvage kits on the bodies of slain monsters in an attempt to collect a desired material drop. Some monsters drop materials as trophies and therefore being able to select the material you desire would be greatly beneficial. For example, a player has killed a monster that might drop monstrous fangs but instead it dropped nothing. Instead of letting that body go to waste the player uses a salvage kit on the body in an attempt to get something. The monster might not have anything to salvage, or might only have 1 item. But if there were several items then the player could choose. And because this type of salvage uses 1 kit regardless of being able to acquire anything the rate of this working could be higher than the rate of dropped items.

System

Randomly select which items could be salvaged from the list of items that a monster might drop. If the monster can drop 4 items then randomly select between 0 and 4 items. 1 salvage kit use is used regardless of success. The rate of success is increased by 5%, 10%, or 15% depending on the type of kit used. The percentage if using Perfect Salvage kits is 100% that the player will acquire at least 1 of the items a monster might drop.

Benefits

This could cause a massive run on Salvage Kits, particularly Perfect SKs. This would act as a gold sink since players would spend money to acquire the SKs, salvage items to either sell or craft armor, weapons, etc. This also causes a run on Zaishen crafting of PSKs and using skill points for crafted PSKs.

Disadvantages

This would need to be carefully weighed against the idea of using PSKs to salvage material in certain areas where the return rate of the acquired material generates far more wealth than the PSKs are worth. 1 PSK crafted costs (1 SP, 50 II, 50 WP, 250 G) far less than 1 GoE (sells for around 3 to 4 P) for example.
