Victory or Death![edit]

A Throwback to Gw1 GvG. Two teams attack each other's bases to eliminate enemy combat assets while defending their own. When VoD starts, all remaining assets march into the battlefield for a final confrontation.

Map[edit]

Two bases, and one capture point between them. The team that controls this point will receive a buff that reduces damage taken from NPCs. Depending on the map there may also be other points of contention, such as a trebuchet or a gatehouse. When players are killed they will respawn after a certain amount of time.

Assets[edit]

Both teams start with a fresh supply of NPCs in the outer perimeter and inside of their base, getting stronger and more concentrated the farther they are into the base. Each team also starts with a set number of reserves. The reserve count is a number that represents the pool of reinforcements that will automatically replace killed NPCs after a short amount of time. Some NPCs require more reserve points to replace than others, for example - a footman patrolling outside of the base might be worth 1 reserve, an archer posted on one of the castle walls might be worth 2 reserves, and a knight located inside the base could be worth 4 reserves.

VoD[edit]

VoD starts when one team's reserve points are reduced to zero. All NPCs will yell "Victory or Death!" and march outside of the base to meet the opposing army on the battlefield around where the capture point is. The capture point no longer gives the buff, and players no longer respawn. Since left-over reserves will continue to reinforce the NPC army as they are killed, the side with remaining reserve points has a decided advantage in this engagement. Destroy all enemies to claim victory (or death!).
