Wounding Strike This skill needs no introduction. Easy spammable deep wound. Not just that. It's covered by bleeding too! And can hit up to three targets at once! Fun against monsters in PvE. Not fun to be against in PvP. Split the skill. Or heck, nerf it globally - it'll be finally balanced. With Aura Slicer finally providing Bleeding, Wounding Strike can lose some of that too-good bar compression. Compared to Wounding Strike in its current state, Reaper's Sweep firmly belongs in the trash bin, though that enchantment removal helped a tiny bit.
Current: 5 3 Elite Scythe Attack. If this attack hits, target foe suffers from Bleeding for 5...17...20 seconds. If you are under the effects of an enchantment, target foe also suffers from a Deep Wound for 5...17...20 seconds.
Minimum nerf: Deep Wound covers Bleeding.
Suggestion 1: 5 6 Elite Scythe Attack. If this attack hits while you are under the effects of an Enchantment, target foe suffers a Deep Wound for 5...17...20 seconds. Takes away some of the condition pressure, doubles the recharge, keeps the conditional. Still strong because it can hit multiple targets using the imba-est weapon in the game.
Suggestion 2: 5 4 Elite Scythe Attack. Lose 1 Enchantment. If an Enchantment was lost this way, target foe suffers from Bleeding and Deep Wound for 5...17...20 seconds. Less spammable, and useless if not enchanted.
Suggestion 3: 5 4 Elite Scythe Attack: If this attack hits while you are enchanted, you inflict a Deep Wound for 5...17...20 seconds. If this attack hits while you are not enchanted, target foe begins Bleeding for 5...17...20 seconds. Reverts the skill to the pre-craziness and tacks on a second of recharge for good measure.
If nerfing Wounding Strike kills Dervish play in PvP, it's not necessarily a bad thing, but also partly an indicator of how poorly the profession fits any common roles right now. Same goes for PvE dervishes (and the situation is even worse there) but that's another topic.
