The Issue[edit]

The issue is quite simply that we have NO CHOICE in selecting weapon skills. This for me is unacceptable and will break Guild Wars 2 as a game for me.

Why when we have so many choices in the game, dyes, events, personal story, etc. must we be given a cookie-cutter build that you'll be playing with for 2 years plus if not forever?

Is this game designed to be played by noobs only?

(the person here clearly misunderstands the meaning of the term "noob", happens often these days...)

Utility Skills / Elite Skill[edit]

I'm not talking about utility skills, because I know I will be told "But we can equip 3 utility skills to change the aspects of your weapons' skills."

So I can add bleeding, bleeding, crippling, more damage, etc to my attack skills, wow awesome set of choices. I'm talking about variety in attack skills. Also the Elite skill, basically an "I WIN" button, as you can only use it once every 12 minutes, is this skill so overpowered that we are allowed to use it 5 times in an hour?

Secondary Profession[edit]

The secondary profession system was dropped to make balancing easier. But with 5 skills per weapon, balancing must be a breeze or ArenaNet just became lazy with skills and decided we'll give you 5 skills now go play the game with them.

With only 5 skills per weapon, I think they could've kept the dual profession system and balancing would still have been very manageable for them.

The Solution[edit]

Give us a choice! Give us 10 to 15 skills per weapon so we can at least create our own builds and feel that your character is truly unique or at least not the exact same warrior as the warrior standing next to you.

Many Unhappy Customers[edit]

Here are some links to forums of people sharing my concerns.

There are probably more but this is what I could find given my time.

I am well aware that I have said something negative about Guild Wars 2 and ArenaNet, unthinkable I know, but here is the plain fact, if the skills are the way they are now in final release how many of you, myself included, would feel inclined to actually buy the game or will be playing it for the years you were hoping to play it with just 5 skills...?

How long until boredom with your cookie-cutter build reaches its peak and you move on to a different MMORPG...?
