Feedback:User/SpiritSplit/Guild Tracking Features

Guilds usually head off to sites like guildlaunch or guildportal to implement websites for their guilds. These sites are usually a good way to track your guilds: rosters, libraries, guild specific forums and "DKP" systems. However, the drawbacks to these sites equal over the top dedictation and manipulation. Some sites require you to manually enter in your entire member roster with each character, race, profession, and level... for all 100 members. Another example is the DKP system, where you can add events that your guild will go on. Members like to track drop rates and add dkp's to members. This requires members to manually take attendance and record what dropped for each player during events, so that you can then later go back to the site and give out dkp's to each member that actually participated in the event and manually enter in drops.

I'd like GuildWars 2 to have these features available to guilds. I'd like one central location where guilds can go to see these features/ statistics:

  • Guild Roster - I'd like to see a guild roster that automatically records member character names, rank, race, profession and statistics (kills, deaths, kill death ratio, killing sprees, etc.).
  • Library - Libraries on these sites require players to manually enter in their own custom stories about there characters. I'd like to see this feature in the guild system for GW2, that way players can create their own custom adventures and then write about it. Each player in GW2 is going to have a journal with their own custom story that will automatically be written for them. When a player is a member in a guild, I'd like to see their journals get submitted to the suggested library feature of the guild system, for all members to read.
  • Achievements - Before I explain my request, I'd like to state the one simple thing I know about achievements in GW2: I know that both individual players and guilds will have achievements. What I want to make sure of: Guilds will beable to look up their member and guild achievements in one central location of the guild system.
  • Forum - I'd like to see a guild specific forum where you can add moderators and access priviledges between members and officers. I'd like a custom chat filter too.
  • Guild Summary Tree - This is list/ tree that shows the guild structure and value. In detail: Member Count: unapproved members, just members, officer count. Activity: Number of events, forum topics and posts. The number of alliances, funds and storage.
  • Funds and Storage Overview - First off, I really don't know much about guilds in GW1; so wether their is a central storage and funds location is beyond me. With that said, I'd like to see GW2 have a central storage and fund location where members of a said guild can deposit money and items into a central location. How and who would administor that, I'm not sure. None the less, Once implemented, or if already: I'd like to see a central location where players can view the total amount of funds deposit and the different items in the guild storage; this preferably with the above mentioned "Guild Summary Tree."
  • Event's - I'd like guilds to be able to record their own events through the GW2 guild system. I'd be awesome to have a calendar view that also picked up on GW2 event's. I'd like to see a statistic the shows a list of all the GW2 events our guild completes. I'd like it to record drops too.
  • Media - I'd like to see the guild system have a central location for guild members to post guild specific screenshots, artwork and recorded video.
  • Guild Application Questions - It be pretty neat to have guilds come up with their own app questions for recruiting new members. Strictly by choice of coarse.

That's it so far, Thanks, --SpiritSplit 16:06, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
