hello my IGN is Balths Knight. i am on a few of the GM's friends lists. i would like to run this idea by you and see if you are interested. i have already posted this on guru and have received a bit of good raves. this update involves the mini pets. i know that the mini pets aren't going to play a significant role in gw2, so i was wondering if you could do something for us players in gw1. i am thinking of a mini pet maker. kind of like the hat and costume makers. this is kind of hard to explain in text but i will try my best. i have taken into account all the possible trade market issues with this, and come up with a reasonable solution.
1. if i take an undedicated mini and dedicate it...
2. the current system still has this actual mini pet as resellable. just not able to dedicate again. ( i agree with this ) the original introduction of HoM had it as customized... i agree with how you changed it. there were too many complains about not being able to use these minis on the whole account.
3. once a mini pet is dedicated in the HoM. any player on the account can go to the mini pet maker and create a copy. here is the kicker...
4. the created copies ARE CUSTOMIZED. this will prevent any type of trade market flux.
5. the reason why i came up with this thought, is due to having my account hacked and i lost alot of nice items. one of which was my mini panda. i did in fact dedicate it before hand...
6. i know quite a bit of people who have had this very same thing happen to them.
7. we would all love to see our minis again.
8 this would give the mini pet more meaning in gw1. as it would reward those who have taken the time to dedicate all of the minis they could in their HoM. also it would clear up a lot of space in storage. as we can just go and recreate them at any time.
9. by leaving the original dedicated mini still tradeable... you still allow the current market to flourish. there are some who want to be able to have rare minis. but can't afford the undedicated versions. they can still use that copy.
10. but those who took the time to get an original undedicated copy. they get the bonus of being able to recreate it on their account at any time. although it is a custo copy for them only.
