The Issue

Currently, hiding the Heads Up Display using the keyboard shortcut (default of 'ctrl+h') will get rid of the HUD as expected, but will not disable other keyboard shortcuts. Most notably, it won't prevent you from hitting F12. While you can't see the pop up box to either log out, select character, or cancel, it will in fact be present and make you unable to hit 'Ctrl+H' in order to unhide it. Your only option is to hit enter and return to character select. Depending on how far you may be into a zone, this could cause the loss of player effort.

The Fix

While the fix is most likely a simple one (although perhaps a code fix, which GW1's live team may or may not have the support for, I don't know) it is also not a common error by players. However, on some laptops *cough*mine*cough* the "prnt scrn" button is right next to F12, which makes it happen somewhat often when trying to capture UI-free screenshots of Guild Wars.

The existence of this bug makes players and pandas alike sad and depressed and should be taken care of to prevent the sadness of pandas across the world.
