Feedback:User/Torma/PvE Guild Contribution System

My idea is to allow guild members to contribute to the guild through a reward system.

Idea[edit]

The basic idea is to have 'Guild Tokens' (and possibly other incentives) rewarded to players for specific actions in the game, such as:

  • Daily Guild Quests (collect items, kill bosses, complete dungeons)
  • Completion of Difficult Dungeons
  • Completion of a Mission/Dungeon with at least one other Guild Member
  • Being in the Guild for a certain period of time (playing X hours while being a member of the same Guild)
  • Winning a PvP game with at least one other Guild Member.

Anything approaching grind for tokens should not be implemented. This would not be fun if it became an intense grind for tokens. The purpose of this is to reward guild play, not create hoops to jump through for rewards or create exclusive phat loot for hard core people to aim for. If most casual guilds are able to obtain top tier guild rewards from tokens, this idea would be a success. Either limiting quests to once a day, or giving a reduced reward for repeated completions withing a single day could be considered.

Rewards[edit]

The incentive for collecting these rewards is to donate them to the Guild. 'Guild Tokens' can be donated to the guild pool and when increasing numbers are gathered, different privileges will become available to the guild. One way to reward accumulated Guild Tokens would be to increase the range of items available in the Guild Shop, such as:

  • Guild EXP items which boost the entire guild's experience, expires after a period of time
  • Guild Standard/Bard's Horn to be used during PvE play to help in difficult dungeons, gives buff to entire party, becomes stronger the more guild members present
  • Weapons and Armour
  • Other items not available through normal methods

Objective[edit]

This suggestion aims to do a number of things.

  1. Encourage guild group play, fostering stronger guild communities. This is done through rewarding playing with/helping other guild members as well as by making guild groups more powerful through items like the standard.
  2. Allow guild members to contribute to their guild through tangible means with in game rewards.
  3. Hopefully strengthen the relationships of guild members and guilds.
  4. Add depth to the guild system.

The current GW Guild system is little more than a group of people with an ordinary merchant and GvG potential. I hope this suggestion would encourage a more involved guild community facilitated by the game's mechanics.
