Inflation is killing GW

For those who do not know inflation is when the general price of items increases due to a set event event happening within the market. Over the past year (or so) we have seen massive changes that have affected the market. Shadow Form got changed (It wasn't nerfed in my opinion as i feel it was neecessary for the game.) This caused a massive market upheaval with the price of Globs of Ectoplasm soaring from 5k to 8-9k. The market turbulence didn't stop there. Oh no! Arenanet released the Hall of Monument's calculator for Guild Wars 2. People saw how valuable their items really were to get titles and points for the calculator. Vabbian Gems shot up in price with Rubies and Sapphires jumping from a lowly 3k to 12k. Diamonds followed the same trend with 200g to 2-3k. All well and good so far. Materials, especially rare ones, we expect to be expensive because they form the basis of armour crafting but with the 3rd March Update everything has been tipped upside down. Why do i say this? Well i went to go rune up my Ritualist's Farming armour (Ironic isn't it :D) That is i was going to rune up my Rit's armour but the price of runes made that practically impossible for me. I am not a wealthy player i didn't jump on the UWSC wagon when it was available. I didn't farm ecto's for days on end. In hindsight that could be called a mistake but i digress. With the price of a minor vigor rune being around 5k at the moment and Survivor's being around the 1.6-1.9k mark fully runing your armour (with vitae's as well) will cost the player 16.5k. That is 3 times the price of the actual price of the armour. That is ridiculous. How can a new player afford to do that when the standard gold production within the campaigns is relatively low a few gold items here and there, mission and quest rewards, and gold drops with the max being around 100 coins which divide by 8 is only 13 coins? How can we justify that people who farm constantly buy items which increases prices and makes it impossible for new players to buy the items they need. (By the way this may sound like communism but it was the only way i could word it ^.^)

My suggestion to fix this?

Increase the drop rate of all items for normal mode only. So that includes runed enemy armours, basic weaponry, materials needed for armour, higher rate of gold drops and in the end game areas increased chance of gold items drop. Why only NM? If it were the two modes this would disadvantage new players still because the experienced players would benefit from the increased drops while farming.

Guild Wars despite not being as elitist as other MMO's still doesn't facilitate the new player experience as much as it should. Everything can seem so expensive to a new player and in some ways alienate new players. I hope that with these new measures players will find GW a more rewarding experience different to those of other MMOs.
