Many players, myself included, are writing stories of the characters they will create when Guild Wars 2 comes out. Although a fan-written story based on a player character cannot be published, I think it would be fun and unique if those stories could be submitted in some sort of contest. Perhaps before release, a contest could be held, and the writers of the top three (more or less) winning stories would recieve certain prizes. These prizes could be things like a free copy of Guild Wars 2 upon release, a chance to meet the head developers of the game, items such as the Charr plushies you have available, and so on. In addition, the winning stories could be posted on the ArenaNet or Guild Wars official website, along with the names of the authors. There are many other prize possibilities as well, which I am sure you can come up with better than I. If you were to hold such a contest after release, then all these things could still be done, except for giving away the free game copy because chances are the author(s) would have already purchased it.
