Feedback:User/Will Greyhawk/Guild Agreements

I originally made this suggestion on the GW2Guru forums, but I was told that Arenanet can legally only take suggestions from the wiki...I'm taking that with a grain of salt....but just in case here ya'll go.

I’d like to propose that guilds have built into the interface an “Agreement”, for lack of a better word. Basically, what I’d like to see is a window that would come up when a person is accepting an invite to a guild.

The window could contain a bit of text written by the guild leader…a brief welcome…a description of the guild…and most importantly; a brief overview of the guild’s rules. I’d think that about double the amount of text space that’s available to GW1’s guild messages be available. And probably slightly larger text too. At the bottom of the window there would be two buttons to click on; one that says that you accept these rules and the guild, and one that says you’ve rejected these rules and don’t want to join the guild.

A bit like the accepting part of the ToS’s we’ve all read and accepted. It is, of course, up to the guilds leadership to enforce these rules after the members accept them. This window only makes sure that members can easily view rules and a description of the guild before joining…it’s not a contract that the game enforces.

I’d also like to have the text viewable in a tab of the Guild interface, so it can be see after accepting, especially if a rule gets change or added. This should be reasonably easy to put in the game, just another “Are you sure?” window of sorts, like we saw infinite amounts of in Factions. It’s just simply one a guild leader chooses the text of.
