I love the fact that there will be a day and night cycle, however I was curious on what was going to be happening to the weather. My suggestion is that there should be changing weather patterns, just like in the real world. For example, one place may always have snow on the ground, but whether or not it is actually snowing should change every now and then. Not only should there be actual weather cycles, but the weather should change the enviroment itself. If it is continueously raining, then rivers should rise and eventually flood nearby areas. If there was a thunderstorm, what if a lightning struck a place that had little rain and there was a fire? Do you help put it out? Or run with everything else away from it? If you ran, the fire would burn till it was eventually put out and leave its destruction until growth returned to the land. Earthquakes should really shake the ground and create cracks or make things fall. Will there be tidal waves that threaten nearby homes?

With the idea of actual weather, wouldn't traveling also be affected? It can be pretty difficult walking in snow up to your character's knees. Wouldn't a ranger's pet also be hopping about, if it were walking as well? Floods can wash away wooden bridges and create lots of mud. You can help the town rebuild, or even try to make defenses before the flood takes over completely.

Sorry, but I also had a thought about the day and night cycle. Will it be dark enough to need lanterns at night? It could be a small gold sink for those who want one with the need to buy more oil. Lanterns could, however, alert you to nearby enemies if you are visable to them. You don't even need a lantern if the moon is bright enough or if you are in a field, rather a forest or cave and such.

Just some thoughts. Thank you so much for creating such an exciting game!
