This drawing is actually old, and done for a species I had created for my own RPG concept, that I never actually got down on text. This particular Fleshcrafter was called "Agony" and was meant to be a "Boss" type demonic lord for the "species".

However, one would think that a high ranking demonic entity who performs such an act would have far more than three souls bound to his being. Agony could still be made into a Fleshcrafter boss, but truly...many more faces should be incorporated into the mix. Also, I can not draw human anatomy...and my ideal Fleshcrafter would have more than just faces implemented into the design of it's form. Sadly, my limitations in art prevent me from such visually speaking...but Agony is one of my favorite pieces.

Regardless, hope you enjoy the mob concept and crappy lineart!

Lore:

Agony, a demon typically found outside the realm of the living, has recently found a method of wriggling into, physical, existence via the utilization of corpses. These vile beasts warp and twist the flesh of the dead in order to construct macabre forms that they then possess.

What terms and conditions need be met to permit such a horrific defiling of the dead are currently unknown...but more and more of these winged horrors have surfaced along with others of a similar nature...deemed "Flashcrafters" by the majority of Tyria.

Mobs and Groups:

Typically, Fleshcrafters travel in packs...with a larger variant as the leader. Sometimes, a truly horrific monstrosity will govern several packs as it's own personal army. (Bosses)

Location:

Due to the nature in which Fleshcrafters spawn, they can show up practically anywhere that sentient life flourishes. They seem restricted to the utilization of intelligent life to construct their forms rather than those of animals...

However, once born into this world, Fleshcrafters are not bound to any given location...and their motives, interests, and goals seem to vary dependent upon the Lord governing over the packs.

Skills:

The skills and abilities of the Fleshcrafters vary, as with most creatures of Tyria...however...the primary, or secondary, profession is typically necromancy.

The Fleshcrafters also possess the unique ability to absorb the corpses of those that fall before them. If you wipe while facing Fleshcrafters...be prepared to come back to larger, more dangerous, variants than you had previously faced...your corpse having been one of many now infused with their being.

Additional Lore:

Within their own realm, Fleshcrafters actually perform a similar act of merging the souls of others into their own being...and then convert these soul into flesh. They then feed upon the agony and suffering of these trapped souls...who scream in horror while twisting and contorting as they're used as puppets by the demons.

In the physical realm of Tyria, they lack the ability to absorb one's soul...theorized to be due to the fact that they aren't TRULY within the realm, but possessing their new corpse puppet as a spiritual entity. Were one ever to pierce into the physical world in it's true form...a dangerous creature it would be, for it would not just take your corpse...but your very soul to use as it's body.
