A.net's Great Epiphany[edit]

"We've given these skills slight buffs to put them somewhere between their previously overpowered states and current underpowered states." It's taken them that long to realize the great truth about balance and active balancing. Although one could argue it's too late, but a.net needs to being doing exactly that and A LOT more of it. --8765 17:50, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

Possible methods of misinterpretation[edit]

"We don't expect these changes to have any major negative impact on the metagame"

you mean you often do expect skill updates to have major negative impacts? O.O lol, jk.Akbaroth 13:46, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

NEW dervish skills?[edit]

Why did they word it like that I wonder? 82.169.222.223 19:27, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

I was just wondering the same thing. Albeit, it would make sense, imo: there are, for every profession except dervish and paragon, at least two campaign's worth of skills. While I don't believe dervishes and paragons are necessarily underpowered, I think this makes them a little limited in the builds they can use. Again, not saying that they're good or bad one way or the other, just that they lack the depth that other professions--especially core professions--can have. --User Timeoffire45 sig.jpg Timeoffire45 rawr 22:11, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
Anet... Not re-using things.. Bullshit.--NeilUser Neil2250 sig icon6.png 22:14, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
Additional skills are not meant I think. Since the update is announced to change a very lot, probably several skillfunctions are changed in total, so they are 'new'. –aRTy 22:39, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
Where did they word it like that? I'm not seeing anything. Cheapy 22:52, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

"...the Dervish update is looking to include some new mechanics for the class to make it more feasible to play – it’s more than just a matter of changing skill numbers around." --Mora 22:56, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
