What no smart arse comments about Dervish updates ??? Bob soddoth 23:56, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
No. Come tomorrow. User ***EAGLEMUT*** Signature.png ***EAGLEMUT*** TALK 00:28, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
I think people aren't as annoyed now that ANet announced that the Dervish will be updated after Wintersday. Seeing as it's not after Wintersday, we have less to complain about. --76.22.247.48 00:44, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Dont worry, Grenth will win(thats what they will declare) and Wintersday will be extended for 2 more weeks(so that they have 2 more weeks to do this update). --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 173.32.190.24 (talk).
You're right, in the odd districts. ThrainFile:User Thrain Sig.pngcontribs 01:17, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
There are no comments on the Dervish update because you expect one. You commented on the topic when you should've waited. --122.111.229.52 10:26, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
I should think we are all be seasoned enough gamers by now to know better to complain when something's late. Heck, we're lucky if it happens at all, if we think about the history of gaming. If there's a launch date, you'd better add a year or two to be safe. If there's a launch date a couple years in the future, you might as well forget about it until then, because it'll go the way of the Ghost Axis 00:11, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
Calling it: this week's update will be the automated tournament rotation thing along with removing wintersday decorations, that's pretty much it. Bet? 173.32.190.24 21:33, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
With the added bonus of a guildwiki note saying 'The automated tournament rotation was not updated' -Shiyahn 08:56, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
And a costume bug fix, and hopefully a bug fix for the Halo festival hat to appear in the equipment screen...though dont count on it since this was free stuff. 173.32.190.24 17:15, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Clarify please?[edit]

Stupid question really but just lloking at the update about server stability issues, was this with the EoTN expansion or just EoTN structure, also what were the problems with the server? Abbess Katherine 04:19, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

Hat bug[edit]

Conspiracy theory: The hat bug will occur "accidentally" this time again, and ANet will have to do a wintersday 2010 redux, that way they can delay the dervish update by 1-2 more week(s). 173.32.190.24 17:01, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

no they will just say "fuck u spoilt rich-ass kids with no patience, we made the game, u bought it, that's all u deserve, we will take as much time as we want making the game better."
Good thing you are not anets pr guy. By the by, people are not getting annoyed about not getting an update, they are getting annoyed about the fact that anet does not keep to what they say. Can't bring a certain update at a certain time? Well then do not say you can to then just change tje date when it is overdue. Tbh I do not care that much amymore since the game is pretty much dead anyway, but i will not be buying gw2 consodering the way they treat this community (This community being the biggest group of potential buyers one would expect better pr)79.203.98.96 00:59, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
You simply have to understand why it's so late instead of continuously brainles ranting about it. GWB and the festive days take up a lot of time and work and they don't have a full krew anymore to work on gw1 because most of them are working on gw2. Also keep in mind that it isn't a simple skill buff the dervish is going to receive but a new game mechanic wich generaly takes more time to develop than a normal skill update. If you sum it all up i can very well understand the big delayment of the update...they simply can't do everything at once unlike the community ignorantly wants to believe. Damysticreaper 01:15, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

The best thing about the update is going to be that it is either going to make the derv OP, causing everyone who doesn't play derv to QQ, or it will make the derv UP, making all the derv players QQ. Either way the update will cause drama and I am looking forward to it. 79.203.119.253 12:50, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

I'm also really looking forward to it. Now that we just had Wintersday/Wedding content, I'd assume another 1-3 months wait. I want to know if they make people want to use the Avatars in PvP :D (Excluding the AoL builds). --122.111.229.52 03:49, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
Use Avatar. Die. No Elite for 2 minutes(disabled). After 2 minutes use avatar again. Die. Repeat. 173.32.190.24 17:12, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
^ Has clearly never played GvG during the mel derv period 79.203.59.251 21:17, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
Look guys, none of this even relates to the update in question! This is NOT A FORUM!!!! If you wish to debate the upcoming changes go to a forum and do so. Stop monopolizing every update's talk page, with Derv chat. As said above (but for some reason greener moved it, which actually he shouldn't have done) if people don't start using this page properly, I'm going to start taking away people's editing privileges for chunks of time to get the message across. -- Salome User salome sig2.png 21:23, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

NOTE TO ALL EDITORS[edit]

The talk page for any particular game update, is to discuss that particular update. It is not to discuss updates that have yet to happen or you feel should have in some way happened. It is not to bitch and moan about the lack of said updates or to ride to the rescue and defend anet for the lack of said updates. This page is simply to discuss the attached mainpage. Now the sysop team has always been very flexible about this and allowed some degree of ancillary discourse around a topic on these pages, that strictly wasn't pertinent to the contents of the attached mainspace page, which is fine and dandy. However I'm stating it very clearly now, for the avoidance of future doubt, that the continual misuse of these pages (and the eventual troll fests they become), will not be tolerated on these pages any longer. If by the next update I see the same none relevant arguments over what hasnt been added. I will be handing out periodic bans to people. If you are upset by the delay in an update, tell a dev on their talk page (in a conducive manner without breaches of NPA) or go and post about it on a forum. Do not do so on this page or the subsequent talk pages attached to future updates. Regards -- Salome User salome sig2.png 21:32, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Couldn't the "LOLOLOL SKILL UPDATE DURP" be considered trolling? It serves no purpose whatsoever and annoys quite a few people. I thought there was some big wiki consensus giving admins the ability to ban willy nilly (as if they didn't have that ability in the first place, but still, the question stands)? --BriarUser Briar Sig 3.jpgThe Spider 22:40, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
as said before Briar, the continual pointless spam of these pages will be stopped, so anything that can be interpreted as vandalism will result in a ban. - -- Salome User salome sig2.png 01:08, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
