Purpose?

Is this in response to try to avoid malicious people exploiting the MAT? These people will continue to ruin the PvP experience to gain RP and sell the gold trim service instead of the gold trim guild. More people will want a gold trim because they can add it to their favorite guild, instead of purchasing a random named guild. Therefore, it seems the exploiters will get more demand.
