+1 Support. Especially for the "unsellable" or "undestroyable" suggestion. In GW1, there was an option to show or hide characters' bags when interacting with a merchant. This would protect the contents of that bag from accidentally being sold. It would be nice to have the same option in GW2 and/or an option to right-click any item in inventory and select a "lock" command. Locked items can not be sold nor salvaged until their status is reset to "unlock". Guild Wars 3 perhaps 07:48, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

In the german forums, i did make a suggestion, that players should have 3 Subitems in the inventory, One for weapons, armor and accessoires. Things in theses Extrabags cant be selled. Also, only these can be equipped (without vanishing out of the bag). The thought behind this were:
  • No "good" weapons should be between the loot (more or less your reason)
  • Better System for weaponswap
    • with empty offhand in set 1 and empty mainhand in set 2, you actually can "fake" a swap for traiteffects.
    • This way you can use the same weapon as off-hand and main-hand.
  • I am crazy for builds. So i hope, you will be able to have more than one build. This way you could make the Equippment to a part of a build and change it at the same time to reduce the time costs of changing your builds.
May i should make the suggestion here again^^. Greetings, --Naruuu 09:27, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

+1[edit]

Yes, there's no reason to force us to take up extra inventory for an off-hand weapon.

(Regarding hiding of items: it's possible to get an invisible bag" Items in these bags cannot be sold to merchants; they do not move when inventory is sorted.") – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 15:51, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

I'm so glad I found this post. I was so busy playing, that it never registered that this was happening, every time I would equip a bow. I just automatically moved the offhand to the bottom of my inventory. BUT... now that I remember that this problem does not exist in gw1... I would also like to see it fixed in gw2. Yeah, Frosty raised a good point: GW1 included this feature. Why was it removed for GW2? – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 02:11, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
May because you can actually switch only the mainhandweapon if you let the offhand free in set 2. I would rather prefer, if equipping weapons wont vanish them out of your (invisible) bag. --Naruuu 11:39, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
