These changes make it so rez spells can easily be abused, enough so that they may be used frequently. Especially the essence change. An elementalist can take a 20 energy hit to rez chant and any caster can take a 15 energy hit to FoMF.~>Sins WDB 00:47, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- no need to lose extra energy sins, just use sacrifice, im sure your team wont die again in... 19? seconds Talamare 01:48, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, but essense is cool because it has no aftercast and no activation time. ~>Sins WDB 16:13, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- Something tells me that if these two are currently functioning differently, it's not intended. Plus, taking up a skill slot means something too, doesn't it? Should I just raise the % back up again? .-. Bathory talk 22:04, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- Is your intention to have them both function like the current glyph of sacrifice that actually makes your next spell a 1/4 cast with aftercast, to make them function like the current glyph of essence that has no activation time or aftercast, or to make them function in some other way?
- Another problem I could see is combining either with diversion, would be more dangerous with essence's functionality. Players could easily slip an instacast diversion under a WoH, which would cause obvious problems. I would at least up the % ~>Sins WDB 22:55, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- The former. I wasn't aware Essence actually made them instantaneous. Bathory talk 22:57, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- the reason these kinda of suck currently is because interrupting is a huge part of the game... and the spells that need to be interrupted all have big cast times Talamare 06:19, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, but bringing a skill to avoid interruptions with a backlash cost should be welcomed. Glyph of Concentration, which has no backlash, shouldn't. Bathory talk 04:54, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- yea but theres a difference between uninterruptable + instant cast vs uninterruptable + big cast... not to mention GoC only prevents "interrupts" you can still interrupt it using disables like PD or with knockdowns -Talamare- feedback 10:10, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- I don't see how that means they shouldn't be useful. Bathory talk 04:12, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- Itd probably need 500...260...200 for essence and 500...220...150 for sacrifice -Talamare- feedback 11:07, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- I'd say bigger numbers. Diversion will be fucking insane with no cast time. -- NUKLEAR IIV 19:52, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- With Glyph of Essence a mesmer would need 50 Energy to cast it. It would take 36 seconds to recharge with Glyph of Sacrifice. I'm wary of bumping the numbers up more though. For the most part, these are used on Elementalist skills, right? Maybe I should just make it specific to the scare of insta-cast Mesmer skills goes away. Bathory talk 03:31, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
- Both are worth an instant diversion. Plus, you don't need to bring it on a mesmer - just use an ele with broken energy managment. -- NUKLEAR IIV 21:17, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
- Alright. That confirms it...sort of. Gonna update the suggestion. Bathory talk 13:07, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
- Better. Still a wee bit dangerous with stuff like earthquake, but I guess you can tweak the numbers around some. -- NUKLEAR IIV 17:15, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I suppose that Essense would be decent with Earthquake, but coupled with the face that it'll still cost ~50 at high levels of ES and continue to cause Exhaustion it wouldn't be able to be used on recharge. Sacrifice would cause the recharges to become mismatched so even with both copies it wouldn't be as often as if you were using both with Glyph of Energy or something... Bathory talk 18:42, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
- The uniterruptability (and using no elites too) would make it tons better than just GoE + EQ. -- NUKLEAR IIV 19:40, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
