For the info, I tried HM with consumables, it isn't anywhere pretty either. K61824 22:01, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
Took 2h+ to vanquish Minister Cho's Estate with WoC active. Fun and challenging. Wouldn't try that with heroes though due to the amount of incomming AoE. Could use some downscaling depending on how many human players there are in the group. - Ander01 10:15, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
Agreed, the power of foes has become ridiculously imbalanced after WoC, such that it's virtually impossible to win with a 4-man hero team in Minister Cho's even for very experienced PvE players that have done everything else in PvE and finds DoA easy. It's not totally impossible of course, as a number of very gimmicky builds have accomplished it after much pain and suffering. But it's entirely wrong that this should be so.
- In effect, the game has been ruined in the zones affected. It's not so much the difficulty that's the problem, it's the pain and suffering of multi-hour fights only to fail because some silly NPC has died, and no recovery being possible. This is largely a quest design issue: the designers forgot that GW is meant to be "fun", and unrecoverable failure after hours of very tedious repetitive effort is not fun.
- Rescue at Minister Cho's Estate needs to be fixed by limiting the enhanced foes to the 3 battle points alone. All the other foes should be low level as before, so that you don't spend hours on pointless and difficult grinding that drops the fun to zero.
- There is also another terrible side to it: there is no way to revert the zone spawns to classic Cantha settings, so your character is compromised once WoC is underway. You cannot assist guildies or team with other players for regular Factions gameplay in the areas affected because it's overrun by overpowered foes. This is a disaster. War in Kryta let you revert zone spawns simply by finishing or abandoning existing WiK quests (which makes all Peacemakers disappear), but that is not possible in WoC. Your characters might as well have been given the plague, they're contaminated.
- I very much doubt that ArenaNet intended this destruction of the game. What a mess. Morgaine 13:20, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
