I whole-heartedly agree with this idea. I would love to see a new expansion for GW1. But I doubt that ANet would do anything to split their customer base between their 2 games. The GW1 live team did say that when GW2 is released they would still try to keep GW1 going, but I assume they will continue to introduce new content to the extent that they are currently. Meaning, every 6 months or so they will give minor updates to the game that give us minor new content, like a new boss, or a new npc.
What they should do is, since they originally planned to give us expansions every 6 months, and since it has been more than 2 years since the release of Eye of the North and will be another year or 2 still until the release of GW2, which means we're missing out on 6 possible expansions, at least, is to give us some sort of major new content, such as an expansion, or a new bonus mission back, or something major that would require us to pay them for it. Not only would it help ease the waiting for GW2, but it would bring in new income to ANet to help fund its production. It's win freakin win, for everybody! --Musha
