I think you aren't looking at it correctly. Raven has arms, what you are seeing jutting out is the arm on the other side of his body. Look under Snow Leopard's armpit. You'll see his other arm. I think an addition of small wings would be nice, but Raven looks fine. Weindrasi 07:06, 18 August 2011 (UTC)Weindrasi

I haven't really seen the Raven Form quite good yet, although the concept art looks beastly. However, things aren't still 100%, we'll see what the outcome is. I'd like to see a more violent Raven form as well. Tomoko 12:42, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
@Weindrasi: Yeah, I know it's a arm, it just looks scrawny and reminds me of a chicken wing. :\ It may just be the angle, but compared to the other forms... It seems quite underwhelming. @Tomoko: Beastly and violent... I like your use of adjectives ^^ Derikvyreflame 21:17, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
Just looked again at the picture, and I saw his left arm... It looks okay, but I still think he needs a bit of reworking... Shorter neck, beastier face, and of course teh wings.Derikvyreflame 21:17, 18 August 2011 (UTC)

Support. The concept art looks much better/more in keeping with the Norn spirit than the 3D model that currently exists. Guild Wars 3 perhaps 00:17, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

I'm glad you agree ^^ Derikvyreflame 01:09, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, but I don't agree. I kinda love the look of all four. But I'm not against you either. The concept art looks great too. But is that concept art possible Tengu? Either way, I LOVE THE ART TEAM. Wazwolf 09:04, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

It's cool, everyone has their opinions. ^^ And I doubt it's tengu, but if it is, and that is close to how they look in-game... I want tengu as a playable race NOW! CX (Wishful thinking is wishful~) Derikvyreflame 15:55, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

raven form[edit]

I would also like to add my apprehensions on the masculine look on the snow leopard and wolf forms. My main is going to be a female norn but i don't think the wide shoulders, narrow hips and over all masculine form would suit her transformations well. I would want her to look beastly and powerful, but not at the expense of her gender.

The bear form suits me fine because it looks well suited for any gender of bear-norn fusion i can dream up, as well as looking ursine like. The raven form is a bit disappointing to me after i saw this amazing and mind blowing concept art. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Versus.jpg The only tweaks i would make on this are a slightly less rigid beak, it looks owl like. but not a completely straight raven beak either. a norn in my opinion should never look weak. even though raven is more about calculation and trickery, a norn should NEVER look weak. if i looks too much like a raven, then it would not look norn, in my opinion. it has to be a happy marriage of both forms.

Suggestion: i think its the eyes. The most intimidating part of a raven, is its stark yellow eyes that peer through your very soul! They give the bird a feral and calculating look.

Hmmm, yes.I agree with the bulk of what you said.
I think the eyes would make a difference. Atleast a bit of contrast between the eyes and the surrounding feathers would do alot to make it more beastly. The beak as well, I think perhaps make it thin, but a little jagged.
Also, about the female forms: I think that maybe leaning it up JUST a little, maybe taking a glimpse at the distinguishing marks (if any) between the genders of the ANIMALS (not the people!) would help a bit.Derikvyreflame 21:38, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Im kinda glad you agree. and i'm also very shocked this detail was overlooked. parhaps my god-like status of anet team is a bit over the top, but if i were in their shoes making the best game ever made, i would be going crazy with the coolest part of this race. i would even go so far as to make the player customize their own forms at character creation! so no 2 wolves or no 2 bears look the same! that would be so bad ass! have tattoos on the bears and stuff like jora!!! http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/File:%22Jora%22_concept_art.jpg

anyways, minor detail makes all the difference! the ravens need a huge face lift, and thier yellow eyes need more contrast. i also think either customizing, or having selected physical attributes on your character need to transfer over to their animal forms for uniqueness. eg. a norn with a mow hawk will have a raven with some feathers sticking up, or a norn with a scar should have that scar still present on thier animal forms, same with tattoos.

I must say, I'm in agreement yet again XD A-Net should be doing their best to make everything EPIC. Even if it's epicly simple! (e.g. a broadsword that is clean, crisp, and simply designed.) I like your idea of scars/tattoos carrying over, as well. It might take a bit more work, but I believe it's evident that A-net is willing to put in the effort to make your character feel more unique. If there is an option for a scar, make a corrosponding one on each form. Tattoo? Same deal. keep it simple, leave room for some general configurations, and it would be subconsciously AMAZING.Derikvyreflame 04:07, 30 August 2011 (UTC)

Sorry I've joined this discussion late, I've seen video and screens of leopard form where the leopard is literally on all four legs, I'm sure you've all seen it too, am I to assume from the 'all new gamescon trailer' that this has been changed and now the animal forms will be upright like bear was in eotn??--Nevermind 09:25, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
