Feedback talk:User/Ebonwing/Guild Wars 2 - RP
I agree in that I would like to see people to be able to role-play more, however, based on the way GW1 was set up in terms of how the skill system worked and basically the game in general, I don't think there was a strong enough way to get the player immersed enough to do that. I've role-played for many years online and I can tell you that even if the community was stronger in its desire to role-play, I wouldn't have wanted to do that in GW1. If GW2 is different, which so far is looking to be true, I could get behind the possibility of role-playing but how do you really keep out those who don't want to but join the community anyhow? I once downloaded the trial of WoW and joined the RP Server and I didn't see anyone role-playing, and I still spotted names that weren't really in the spirit of RP, so how do you screen them? Do you even bother? I think a lot of this depends on what GW2 brings to the player...Purgatorio 18:43, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
