Hmm, why would you say that dodging horizontally is insufficient and how would 'dodging vertically' be different to jumping? If it doesn't move you horizontally out of an AoE, would it have to function effectively as a short invulnerability effect powered by endurance? I'm not sure that the balance considerations that such a feature would introduce would be outweighed by the problem (?) or deficiency that it solves, but perhaps there is a reason that I'm not seeing. -- Avaera 07:33, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
- Valid points. I think it would indeed function like a short invulnerability. Dodging has the same effect against non-AOE skills currently. I just thought it might be nice to improve the ease with which one can do this, because it's much easier to hit the spacebar than any other key. I understand the concern about not being able to move horizontally out of an AOE, but the current V hotkey doesn't necessarily move you out of AOE, either. --Elunah [GS] ~ Ferguson's Crossing 14:50, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
- Maybe just make it possible to keybind to a double-tap of any key then? So you could change the current assignment of dodge from the 'v' key to a double-tap of the spacebar? That wouldn't cause any balance issues at all, and might improve the convenience of dodging. I probably wouldn't use it myself though, because I would be constantly rolling backwards off platforms while trying to do jumping puzzles. :P -- Avaera 00:37, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
