I can see this being a botted thing for people. but the idea is sound. but instead of it being just that one boss, how about it being multiple bosses (though the last boss in the game they should still keep the GW1 style) with it being multiple bosses then you don't have to worry about getting sick of that one boss, or getting the drop rate reduced drasticly. for example, when you kill a boss you get the chest piece of the style of the land (char hide for a char boss, woven for a monk boss, let you figure that part out) and instead of it being of the style you need, it can be depending on what the bosses profession is, so you can get necro armor while playing as a warrior. it's a good idea, but then there are some drop problems that could acure

I think there is definately something to this idea. But i think it could work really well if it was implememnted similarly to getting hero armour in GW1, like certain bosses have a chance to drop, for example, a Deldrimor Armour Remnant. The drop would be customised to the character it drops for, so that you can't farm max armour for your new lvl 1 character. And the drop chance should be low, since you will be getting a peice of max 15k armour. You turn the peice in to a certain NPC who will transform it into a wearable peice of armour for your character. You choose what peice it will be turned into aswell so you dont end up getting 3 pairs of gloves, of which 2 are useless. And maybe this new armour set will have an extra effect on each piece, like in GW1 all ranger armour has +armour vs elemental damage, ranger armour attained like this could have that AND another effect. This would make it a bit more worthwhile getting the set, rather than just to show off wealth to onlookers. --Jimmer123 19:52, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

I was not saying only one boss drops armor, but most bosses drop armor. For instance, let's say a boss' name is Frank. If he dropped gloves, they would be, "Frank's gloves". Or another boss was a charr name Gunpowder Hideshreader. He might drop armor that is only for charr and might be called, "Hideshreader's Armor". I was not saying that only one boss should drop armor, but that some bosses could drop uniqe armor.

This is a very bad idea imo. This would just make GW2 a WoW-wannabe. And it doesn't take that long to get money for unique armor either. Besides that, it will make people do exactly what ANet tried not to, about the sharing loot idea. They said they didn't want people killing a boss over and over for everyone to get a cut, and this will just make GW2 be such a game, where you have to do that. If fx. a ranger gets the chest piece of an armor, and a warrior gets the gloves, they will have to run it over again 10 times for the ranger to get the chest piece and the warrior to get the gloves. Besides that, I think, from what I can read in the articles about GW2, that bosses will be harder to slay, and without heroes and henchmen, it will make people form a party, killing the boss 20 times, to get armor for 1 of the partymembers, and then they will go on to the next boss, kill that one 20 times over for that party member etc. Many people will also leave the party, as soon as they get their share, which is not fun for the last player. This is an idea I'm very much hoping not to see in GW2.--Syncretic 19:20, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

that would just lead to farming bosses, i.e. grindind, and if you had money you could still buy the armour so it's use as a status symbol for the rich would not be changed by what you suggest. However all the instanced dungeons have their own unique set of armour aquired through loot, so you could play through dungeons multiple times and each time you will get loot with a chance of being a piece of the set Ealias 09:23, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
