Discussion[edit]

While it sounds like it would be a good idea, if your account is hacked, you could have much bigger problems than some uber items being stolen, like your e-mail account. Also, I don't know about the rest of you, but I visit Xunlai storage constantly, I wouldn't want to enter my PIN every time. Who's also going to remember to lock it up before they log out? It's not a bad idea, but by design it's limiting losses, instead of preventing. The best way to prevent account theft is to be savvy and take steps to avoid being hacked altogether. User:Gaile Gray/Support FAQs/Account Security. In addition to that, strongly consider installing firewall software on your computer and use WPA2 wifi encryption if you are mobile. I would blindly guess that a majority of account theft can be curbed if players would take security more seriously. Xiaquin Crystal Snowflake.png 22:17, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

I couldn't agree with you more on the importance of security. As for your comment about visiting the chest a lot, I propose that (if possible), making it so you only have to open it once per login of character. That way it would remain open whilst you are logged in, and if someone hacks your account within that time and logs in on your character, it logs you off and them on, essentially re-logging that character, which in turn would mean that they would need to enter the pin in again. -- My Talk Lacky 14:37, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
