Sorry, I don't like it for various reasons, and the most important is: They have to pay to have a bigger list in the guilds too then? Because if not, you're forcing players to be in a guild in order to have a bigger friend list (which a lot of them don't want), and if yes you're forcing them to pay in order to have a better interaction with other players (which goes agains Arena.net's philosophy of helping players interact more while playing for fun). Why not unlimited friends on your friend list from the get go? This was a huge and simple drawback of the original Guildwars. Why charge for a gameplay mechanic that your users expect to be unlimited and free? This is like charging a fee to be able to see your mana or health bar or other aspects of the UI. I cannot think of many games that have a friend limit cap, and there is NO game that charges to add a friend. Paying money IMO to invite a guild member in to your guild was to stop guilds from being a form of pick up group where no one stays in the same guild, when the original Guildwars community consisted of a very large PvP fanbase.
Bad idea. In GW I usually can't add good players I "pug" with because my friends-list is full.
Maybe ANet paid the guy to say this? (joke)Yoshida Keiji 08:58, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
