Does Punishing Shot daze when the foe gets up, or when it hits?--User Oneshot O.JPGne shot. 01:44, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
When it hits; they're only dazed for a couple of seconds after getting up (though a couple of seconds of daze after a KD is big pressure). — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 1:49, 25 Aug 2010 (UTC)
I was just curious what would happen if you hit someone using say, Balanced Stance. ^__^ --User Oneshot O.JPGne shot. 01:55, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
The daze would still occur. And it would be awesome. — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 1:56, 25 Aug 2010 (UTC)
I'm just curious about 3 cast time ranger spike support skills. Paragons have 3 second spear attacks but nobody uses them. What do you think will happen with those 3 second ranger attack skills?--Life Infusion «T» 03:46, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
That's because in those three seconds the paragon can autoattack for more damage, and they have normal cast time attack skills that spike almost as hard. (There was a time when you could run six to eight paragons and kill things by calling a target and hitting it with Spear of Lightning and Vicious Attack, and keep a third attack skill in reserve just in case you managed to not kill the guy. The 3s cast attacks can't compare to that level of damage, no matter the circumstance.) -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 06:22, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
What Armond said: a paragon doesn't need a 3-second attack skill to do significant damage (in fact, none of the 3s attacks are better than Vicious, so they're useless). Rangers, on the other hand, will need to devote big time into spiking a target.
This is because paragons are designed to DPS, which means that they have to do high damage at a consistent rate; hence, their "normal" attack skills have to hit hard. Spike hard.
Rangers, on the other hand, will generally do very little damage. The exceptions all will have a drawback: BA is elite and requires serious att split, and the nonelites are either slow or weak.
TL;DR: rangers can't have big, fast damage or they're broken. Paragons need to have big, fast damage because they're ranged warriors (which is a bad design). — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 1:08, 16 Nov 2010 (UTC)

Fast Condition spread[edit]

I believe you're approaching this the wrong way. Normally, a Ranger can either spread Poison or focus on one character to disrupt better. This trade-off rewards players who can predict which of these distinct abilities is the most useful at a given time. Making fast condition spread too efficient will at a certain point make this trade-off obsolete as you can simply spread your conditions with the skill and then focus your interrupts. This decrease in skill-basedness should somehow be compensated. The current Incendiary Arrows does this by speeding the poison spread up through AoE. You need to punish balled-up foes and that requires some field awareness. Your Forked Arrow, however, only requires one additional opponent near a character and recharges quickly. The difference is marginal, but it does illustrate a point: high recharge, large amount of targets AoE is balance-wise preferrable over AoE with a low recharge and low amount of targets. 83.163.190.111 18:37, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Seeking Arrows[edit]

"Your arrows are 66...40...33% as likely to miss, stray, or be blocked"
Shouldn't that be "Your arrows are 33...50...66% less likely to miss, stray, or be blocked"--File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 16:51, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

It could also be "Your arrows are 33...59...66% less likely"; means the same thing, I think. — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 16:55, 24 Sep 2011 (UTC)
Less likely is more intuitive; the human brain likes to pretend 33% = 133%. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png 17:33, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

Melandru's Shot[edit]

What is the point of this skill if you are going to make Hunter's Shot so awesome? Vili 点 User talk:Vili 19:35, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

It'll get better. It just hasn't, yet. — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 22:59, 24 Sep 2011 (UTC)
