Feedback[edit]

For 7.1 sound support, wouldnt that require high-tier sound stuffs (idk) ? GW2 wants the game to be very good quality, but thy also want to preserve that people with not-so-great computers can withstand the quality. Like, GW2 will be able to be played on mainstream laptops, i think i heard that somewhere.

For your animations statement, just look at the 7.1 sound support feedback, it kind of falls under that category.

GW2 also wants to keep that game as "T" rated as possible, they said the furthest they will go is red blobs for blood.

Mounts, mounts, mounts. They're not shure if there will be mounts, but definately, you can't fly. --Eclipse143 17:10, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Okay opps, not maintstream laptops, but mainstream computers: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Frequently_Asked_Questions#Technical_stuff

just look at the first Q&A.

No flying: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Frequently_Asked_Questions#Gameplay second Q&A.

I couldnt find the "T" rated source.. sorry x) --Eclipse143 17:16, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Answer[edit]

Depending on technique of course you are right but using 7.1 isn't a must, its an option. I think about a button you click on in the options, then a list pops saying something like stereo, quadr., 5.1, 7.1 etc... Same for visual effects. I think it would be great to have 7.1 sound but for developer it may be a big effort.

Besides I am not a specialist in this but i think higher graphics do not always change the minimal system requirements as you can level the graphics down and so on... But I am just guessing.

I have seen the q&a, bit sad about not being able to fly around, but mounts MUST be!

Last but not least the T rating, I think it will stay T rated but still a bit annoying that there are no bloody effects :)

PS: Thanks for the links haven't seen the q&a, I love links :)

Events[edit]

There will be event text. For all of the events I've seen in demos, there's always someone telling you what's going on. They focused on the complete voice recordings that they got for every bit of text, but you'll notice that all of those people also had speech bubbles above their heads. Also, They try to make most events self-explanatory by what you can see. A village is burning? there's pirates all about? The pirates are attacking the village.

EDIT: Oh! Right! For every event I saw, a checklist or progress bar appeared in the top right corner, with things like "repel pirates from village" and a progress bar. That way you can always see what you need to do at a glance. --Thunderduck 22:56 April 29 (UTC)
