Nice idea. I was worried, until I saw your opt-in mechanism. Well thought out. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 01:37, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, that isn't too bad. But I can just WAIT to hear the "omg, I didn't mean to delete it." Deleter's regret. How would this work if you wanted to create the name again? Just wait it out like usual? If this was combined with an extra password used for any kind of trades (only retrievable if you have serial numbers associated with the account) it could put a serious dent in hackings - they could not delete characters and they could not potentially trade on them either. The character is not deleted until the final comfirmation after the wait period, so no, you can't make another with that name until it's gone gone. I would even be willing to ask for it to be playable during that time, why not? Also, Passwording trades would make trading a royal pain in the butt, and these passwords can be hacked just like the account itself. I sometimes practice things by spamming new toons repeatedly, so I also like the opt-in nature of this. And I am sure at least a few peeps have accidentally deleted the wrong toon from time-to-time, so I think this idea would be very popular if implemented.   — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 07:00, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
