This skill change is rather unnecessary. Why should a held item offer more armor than a shield set in addition to other effects and the held item status? Not to mention that the skill in its current state already offers more armor than a shield set. 8+5 is 13, the conditional armor buffs you might get add 10 but that's a game of its own that shouldn't be dumbed down by this skill. ~>Sins WDB 19:07, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
- The problem is that it give points in the primary attributes. It will be the only skills that improve PA from a secondary.Ciotto 21:52, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
- Because you lose benefits of your 40/40 set or enchantment modifiers, and it takes up a skill slot.--Underwood 22:20, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
- This type of held item would only be used with skills that relate to it such as soothing memories, caretaker's charge, and renewing surge. They get higher armor than their weapon set and synergy with their skills. Why should players not have to think about their weapon sets? This skill promotes lazy play by making weapon swapping unnecessary. ~>Sins WDB 23:46, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
- not to mention the power creep of pot made any other item spell unused... also its +2 spawning power... how is someone going to abuse that... oh noes my spirit has an extra 20 hp but still dies 2 hits Talamare 01:32, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- I haven't really commented on the spawning power buff, but the significance would be when spawning power finally gets useful skills or a better functionality (though the extra 8% duration of weapon spells is somewhat significant). ~>Sins WDB 05:14, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- I have to agree this is unnecessary. Mighty was Vorizun is a rather good item spell to hold on to, even when you look at the bonuses you're losing. I've also got to disagree with Ciotto in that the 2 Spawning Power for a secondary Rit will be influential. This skill is really fine as it is, I think. Bathory talk 01:10, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- MwV isnt a good spell to hold on to, you lose armor and 40/40 set and -20% cripple/daze... youre right it is kinda of dumbing down but its not like ritualists have a choice... our spells need for us to hold items... all items except pot and DwG suck... Talamare 05:45, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
