  • Melandrus Arrows -> OP imho frag spikes again, i would just add Bleeding for every shot not only on enched ppl.
  • Melandru's Resilience -> Good as it is actually, not another block stance
  • Poison Arrow -> agree, sounds okay but in this case maybe 2 sec recharge
  • Scavenger's Focus -> Well as it is, just use it with daggers and apply poison
  • Poison Tip Signet -> why nerf? Its well and underused as it is...
  • Called Shot -> Interesting option for FE to snare Amberrunner at the beginning, also a week GvG Snare

Well, hello again!

  • Maybe I worded the Melandru's Arrows incorrectly but I wanted bleeding on every shot and only burning on enchanted foes.

I'm not entirely sure how adding burning would encourage frag spikes because it doesn't add raw damage, just a second of burning. This is especially true in the case of several rangers hitting the same guy at the same time. Since conditions don't stack in GW1, it would total out to just be 1 second of burning. I felt that if it only had bleeding it wouldn't be any better than the original Incendiary Arrows (after which what this suggestions is modeled), which although was fun and had its niches, wasn't very popular--clearly evidenced by its function change many months back. I guess the degen could be sort of excessive though on elementalists and Channeling monks, though...

  • Moving on, I suggested a function change for Mel's Resilience because it was only mildly popular due to gimmick caster builds (mostly monks) in TA and RA. TA no longer exists and I haven't really seen anyone with this in RA anymore so I figured a change would be needed to bring it back into play anywhere in the game. I added the blocking because I didn't know what else I wanted to put in there and it felt like it needed more to live up to elite status. It could be any number of things other than blocking, I guess.
  • Scavenger's Focus nowadays does nothing but encourage mediocre gimmicks at best. No Ranger should ever need active energy management much less blow their elite on it.
  • I figured a 0 cast time for Poison Tip Signet would be a buff. I just tweaked the recharge and duration to balance it out a bit. Free, 0-cast-time poison when combined with a preparation and elite (probably bleeding and burning) is powerful stuff.

DISREGARD FIRST OBJECTION. "Frag" meaning "Fragility." No, you were absolutely right, that had just somehow passed over me completely. Changed it to bonus damage. Still seems a bit weird to me, though. Tweaked Poison Arrow and Mel's Resistance a bit. Tounaku 07:22, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
Yep I meant Fragility and this triggers twice in 1 sec -> +30 damage in Spikes very useful and anoying in the dervish + fevered dream meta in June 2011 for example, also imho a completely unskilled boon build. Scavengers is very nice on daggers or other expensive builds for bow its quite uselful too, maybe combinate it with "Concussion Shot" and "Apply Poison" so you can spread daze in an anoying time, also you can cover it with poison and got a great, nearly same combination with "Practiced Stance" + "Choking Gas" ;) --Kali Shin Shivara 02:56, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
