Feedback talk:User/Weindrasi/Hall of Monuments concerns
I had the same problem, contact support and provide proof-of-ownership of the account, i.e. game activation codes, postal codes used for in-game store purchases etc. And they should be able to change your email address associated with your account. - Perhaps in GW2 they could add a thing to the character select screen where you can send a test email to your registered email address, and if it bounces back (undeliverable) then you get the option to change it or something? Sounds like you should have thought of that before you used an email from the company you used to work for. It's not a difficult problem to avoid. -Cheesethief
- Don't start that kind of crap, Cheesetheif. It was my parents' work, and leftover e-mail, from when I was a minor and didn't have my own. I'm looking for advise, not your misplaced criticism. Weindrasi 14:05, 30 August 2011 (UTC)Weindrasi
- I'm looking for misplaced criticism, if anybody wants to give me some. Please? Kormon Balser 21:18, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
- No misplaced criticism here; just a bit of advice. "Don't feed the trolls" Guild Wars 3 perhaps 19:31, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
- Fine, I will just let my poor little pet starve out in the cold... Kormon Balser 02:58, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
- Not directed at you, Kormon. Meant for the troll (*cough* CheeseThief *cough*) who responded to this thread without adding anything useful to the dialog. Guild Wars 3 perhaps 05:39, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
- Oh shoot, does that mean I should be contributing in some way? Uh.... did you know that pH values can be negative? Kormon Balser 02:59, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
- Does that only happen when they're having a bad day? Guild Wars 3 perhaps 06:22, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
- Haha,or if it is a 12M solution of HCL (which could make ANYBODY's day bad...) Kormon Balser 15:53, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
nothing in this entire discussion is useful. this is more of a support issue rather than a feedback issue.
- Given that the game hasn't been released yet and there is no official support forum for it, the feedback forum is the appropriate place (and only place, for the time being) to post this concern over a potential problem that may crop up on official release. Thus, it is a useful discussion to those of us having the discussion and, potentially, to the developers as well, Mr. (or Mrs.) Unsigned Troll. Guild Wars 3 perhaps 01:16, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
- Support Forum? - Ander01 09:59, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
- That's a Guild Wars support forum; not a Guild Wars 2 support forum. Guild Wars 3 perhaps 17:21, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
One. Acids are bad, but Bases are worse. Watch something like NaOH chew your skin up. Two. The support forum for Guild Wars is the correct place to fix the email before Guild Wars 2 comes out. Took me a week to do the same thing. Very easy, but start now. Three. Delete your post, since it isn't a suggestion really. Or edit it to reword it as a suggestion for making the joining of accounts easier. Cause frankly, we shouldn't have to remember old info about GW1 when it is... well, old and dated. I have a similar problem. When I was made to create that NCSoft master account, like 4 5 years ago, I was a minor and I just put some random name and address cose' my parents weren't so hi on me putting any personal info on the web. After creating that I never loged in to that site again. But few days ago I tried to get in because I think they will make us merge GW2 serial with GW1 games on master account so Hall of Monuments will work, but when I log in that secret answer thing pops up and doesn't let me in, the problem is I don't remember any info or secret answer I put for that master account and support is asking me for every detail which I dont have except all my serial keys. I just hope Unlocking HoM would be easy as loging in GW2 and just adding username of your GW1 account and not the whole hassle with NCSoft master acc. Pexzor 19:01, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
