I also really want pubs to be active in this game, at least as an option for people. They should have their own chat channel, too, to lessen the general chat spam for people who aren't interested, and to provide a central location for people who are.

Also, I think there should even be options for gambling with other players - whether it's in the form of traditional games like poker or something, or, better yet, some new game created by one of the races of Tyria. I could see the motivation for any race to create a game of their own; the Asura would want something to prove their mental capabilities, the Norn would go for a good drinking game, and humans like us already make their own games. I could see the Sylvari making some sort of east Asian-feeling game, like Go or Mahjong, and the Charr... I'm not sure what they'd do, but I can see them getting into a pub game. Maybe playing with a ball of yarn?
