I always thought the doppleganger fight was a bit too tame. It's the climax of the prophecies campaign where you achieve what a whole race(the Elonians) has struggled to achieve, and yet having it over in a few seconds is so Anti climactic.
It was supposed to be your true self fighting against a more malevolent self in a fight to death in a both physical and spiritual way. This image shows 'good' Shan in deep trouble fighting her doppleganger. The tattoo's represent a spiritual corruption and the the shattered armor and staff are obviously the physcial side of the combat. Of course 'good' Shan wins in the end, but now you know where she got her Torment staff from.
