Guild Wars Wiki:Good faith
This page is a rejected policy proposal. It has been unable to gain consensual support or it was replaced by an improved proposal. |
Users are permitted to violate a policy if they are acting in good faith to improve the wiki. Likewise, edits in bad faith that are not prohibited by policy can be reverted or rewritten, even when policy does not require it.
Editors should be able to justify any actions that go against policy upon request - policy should not be broken on a whim. It is highly recommended that any particularly significant contradictions with the rules be preemptively explained on the relevant talk page.
Disputes over whether an edit was a good faith edit can ultimately be resolved by the arbitration committee if necessary -- however, lacking unambiguous evidence to the contrary, editors should always assume that an edit is a good faith edit.
