Reason for running for bcrat[edit]

Any reason in particular why you are running for bcrat? Also, from your point of view, what is the job a bureaucrat has to do in the wiki?.--Fighterdoken 20:42, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

I am running for Bcrat because I believe in the job. A Bcrat is a person who assists people on the wiki, and helps enforce the rules. Everybody I know says I am perfect at helping people, and I barely lose my temper. Bcrat's have no rule over the members, but need to help them. Kind Regards, --DAVATick green.png 20:51, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
First of all, what do you mean when you say you "believe in the job"?
Second, why do you think you can assist people better when you are a BCrat? You don't have to be one in order to help.
Last but not least, a bcrat is only allowed to block people in an emergency, as in heavy vandalism and there is no sysop around. You can change people's userrights, as in, appoint and demote sysops, appointing a new bcrat when he is chosen, and you have to be able to make decisions when an arbitration case comes up. This is taken pretty much literally from the bcrat page.
I do not believe you know enough about the bcrat role in order to be one. Mini Me talk 13:13, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for your honest opinion. I do know, and I am on, a lot! I do know that Bcat powers are only to be used in an emergency. I won't demote sysops, unless they go on a vandalising run. If I get the job, I will do my best. Thanks for your feedback. --DAVAUser Dav Tick green.png 16:47, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
Well I do not really know you so I was just commenting as an outsider based on your comments above :) Good luck. Mini Me talk 16:50, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

I don't mean to pull an Eloc, but you have less than 500 contributions and you've only been here for three months. These facts would be completely irrelevant if you were already clearly qualified, whether through demonstration of your thoughtfulness and thoroughness, knowledge of policy, track record of exercising discretion, etc etc., but that's not totally obvious to me. That's not to say that you are a bad user in any way; I simply think the position of bureaucrat should go to the best and brightest, those with experience, and I've yet to see how you are more qualified than other candidates.

Best of luck anyway. :\ Vili User talk:Vili 17:00, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Contributions[edit]

Your contributions to the wiki are very limited; 70% of the total are editing your own userpage. You also have very limited contributions to the GWW talk and user talk namespaces. By standing for election to become a bureaucrat I assume you believe that you're experienced in handling users, possibly malicious users, and that you have an extensive knowledge of policy. From your contributions I don't believe you are experienced enough; can you demonstrate to me why you think you are ready and why should I vote 'support'? You even won't be allowed to vote in this election... poke | talk 17:14, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
