Research[edit]
I'm glad to see this page on here. I'm sorry to say I have not contributed much in the way of research though, on other characters. I am going to make other heroes with pets on my other characters and see if they exhibit the same behavior. *Malganis Frostmourn* 12.106.72.10 20:19, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
- My side research is still ongoing too, just no substantial observations to make a proper report but can still tell you my findings. The only issue that has caused me some delay is that I hardly take a ranger hero, and also I hardly take a paragon hero, worst... I never take a ranger and a paragon hero together...and worst of worst, I really never would choose to make both of them Beast Masters.
- However while at it I am now taking into consideration that maybe, a primary ranger could find it easier to use skills compared to a paragon, do to Expertise cost reduction. For example, my heroes have 13 attribute points so all 5 energy skills, the AI could be reading them as only 2 energy skills. While a paragon with only 2 bips of energy regeneration would be considering whether is appropriate or not to activate the 5 energy skill.
- During some initial testings I can say that sometimes, primary rangers will rez the pet faster, but some other times not. I have been ever since trying to see what causes them to select between choices, but haven't spotted any particular difference. Yoshida Keiji talk 00:55, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
- I know its an unusual combo, but I noticed I was severely lacking in the Zaishen Menagerie so I figured I'd use them to level up the pets I needed. My two main chars have already done all vanquishes so I'm using my monk instead. It also works as a Nicholas farm, as I can send the two heroes and their pets to fight while I sit back and heal. Its more fun than death-leveling the pets, because I still like playing this game. :) I tried to do some Nicholas farming on my ranger, using Pyre with a pet, 8 in Beast Mastery, and Gwen with a pet, only 2 in Beast Mastery. The difference in healing their pet was not nearly as pronounced as I noticed on my monk using Jin and Keiren, so maybe your idea that the paragon's 2 pips of energy has something to do with it. I made Keiren a beast master because he comes with a bow and it was easier than using him as another paragon hero. By the way, I'm a he. *Malganis Frostmourn* 12.106.72.10 21:30, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
