General comments[edit]
Even though I voted oppose, I would like to say that I don't feel it would be impossible for you to make "a good admin". Your strive to do what's best for the wiki and compromise and try again is lovely, to say the least. I think, for me, you just need a bit more time to show that you can keep emotions in check, when needed, and burst when needed. :) - anja 16:11, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you Anja for your comments. They are really appreciated. I knew when I put in my RFA that it would probably not be successful due to my past emotive responses to wiki trolling. Thus my main aim was to gauge what parts of my own nature I had to improve upon to be considered as a serious candidate in the future. I honestly do care alot about this community and I just hope that, in time, I can prove to everyone that I am capable of acting in a professional manner in circumstances which demand a degree of a tact and objectivity. If I'm honest, the amount of very positive comments that I have received on my RFA, has surprised me greatly. As although I've had mostly neutral and a few oppose votes, most people's comments have been very supportive and constructive. I honestly didn't know I was so well thought of on this wiki, and I'm extremely flattered by the faith so many people have shown in me. Thus even though my RFA will be unsuccessful this time, it has just motivated me, even more so, to do better by the people here and justify the faith, respect and friendship that everyone has shown me. In RL, I am a fairly emotional person but I balance it with self control and professional objectivity, the latter two however being things I don't demonstrate online often enough. In the next few months, expect to see a new side of me. Hopefully in 3 month's time, when I run again, I'll have demonstrated that I can take a more even keel towards emotive issues. Once again, thanks for your kind words Anja, they mean alot. :) *Just reread that post and realised it was very rambley with way too many commas, sorry about that* -- Salome 04:04, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
