Talk:Armin Saberlin

This should be split into two articles as he has two different names and locations. - BeXoR 01:38, 19 March 2007 (EDT)

Well, it should be split into 2 articles because "Master Armin Saberlin" (post-searing) is in fact Trooper Deeter Saberlin (son of...). The person who created this page has just copied the mistakes from GWiki to this site. In Beacon's Perch he's named "Master Saberlin" - lvl 4 (same as Deeter), while his father is lvl 5. I've never, ever seen a person downgrade in level before so I strongly believe that it's not the same person. --Erszebet 06:31, 19 March 2007 (EDT)
Afaik, Master Armin Saberlin and Trooper Deeter Saberlin are two seperate people. We should have an article for Armin Saberlin and Master Armin Saberlin and an article for Trooper Deeter Saberlin and Master Saberlin, imo, instead of 1 article for 2 people or 4 articles for 2 people. I'm guessing that Armin Saberlin was promoted to master after the Searing, and died somewhere between Fort Ranik and Beacon's Perch. His son, who was rescued at Fort Ranik, was then promoted to his position. --Santax (talk · contribs) 13:33, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
Go ahead with it, there's been no disagreement since the split template was added. - BeX 13:53, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
I was looking at spliting this but came across a problem. Should Trooper Deeter Saberlin go in file as Trooper Deeter Saberlin or as Master Saberlin (as there is already an article there)? Or should there be two articles with a linked note in each saying these two are belived to be the same person? --Vyraal 17:32, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Whatever they are named in game, using disambig identifiers as per GWW:NAMING? I've come across a similar problem with Ahtok and Scout Ahtok - they are apparently the same person, but they are different species, names and probably professions, so they should be in different articles. Otherwise you could pester one of the Anet people for a definitive answer. :) - BeX iawtc 18:31, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
