What was the original status of this skill energy/duration/damage ?

Anomaly/Bug?[edit]

I recently used this at 16 Smiting Prayers with a +20% enchant mod and Blessed Aura at 13 DF for a total of +50% enchantment duration (52% technically, but capped at 50%), which should make this last 12 seconds and do a total of 312 damage, but it did 338 damage instead, which I think means it actually lasted 13 seconds. So now I'm wondering if the actual duration is about 8.4 seconds instead of the listed 8. edit: forgot to sign lol Deathwind 07:50, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

I was thinking that another possibility was that it does damage the instant it's cast in addition to damage each second afterwards (so it would do damage 9 times instead of 8), so I did another test with no +enchantment duration mods (at 16 SP again), and it did 208 damage, meaning it only did damage 8 times, so now I'm certain that it's real duration is actually a decimal that just rounds down to 8 because 8x1.5 is 12, but with +50% enchantment duration, it's damage was dealt 13 times Deathwind 23:20, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

(base enchant duration) X (weapon enchant mod) X (blessed aura)= 13 seconds when rounded up. The enchant duration buffs from your weapon and blessed aura stack multiplied.--Justice 18:17, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

small buff: make it last 20 seconds, but add "ends after dealing damage 10 times" or so, so at least it is guaranteed to do it's damage. --83.77.219.91 09:23, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

Needs a PvE/PvP split[edit]

PvE version make it similar to ancestor's rage/splinter weapon. Something like "Target allies next 3 attacks deal X holy damage to adjacent foes". PvP version no clue what to do maybe just leave it useless. 141.224.228.155 23:45, 24 November 2010 (UTC)

Not A Bad Skill[edit]

It has great potential but is pretty hampered by the energy cost. I think a fair compromise would be to reduce its energy cost to 5, but in turn lower the duration to 5 as well. Then it could compare favorably to skills such as Ancestors Rage or Double Dragon (which is elite, and should be stronger). 66.56.138.24 01:23, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
