Pop culture reference[edit]
This is not just a possible reference. Here is the chain: In 2000, a skit on Saturday Night Live showed a band playing "(Don't Fear) The Reaper", a song by ... Blue Öyster Cult. In this skit, there was some disagreement as to how much cowbell the composition should contain.
