is it the real "in the area" or larger than that? 24.141.45.72 18:53, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

It's the real "in the area." --80.16.169.162 14:59, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

overpowered[edit]

I think that channeling is just way too strong in HA... You dont see many other energy management skills on monks these days. Either buff other E-Management skills or nerv this please^^ 87.123.38.10 16:29, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

It might be strong in HA, but it's just about useless anywhere else. Maybe it has some use on E/Me tanks, but that's it. Won't be nerfed any time soon. Dragnmn talk cont 17:34, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Its a strong skill only if used properly. There are many GvG Monks and PvE monks that hate being in the middle of the frontline and midline, and with bad positioning your returns from this skill are very low. since the skill forces you to be in the middle of the battle, its not OP. --Angelic Loki 01:05, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Yeah... In HA, the battle comes to you. In Pve particularly, you'd need to go to the battle. And generally you don't want that, unless you're a frontliner. But then, what the point of using Channeling?--99.241.76.164 04:07, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Earth/Wind dervish with aoe spells based around enchantments? -- euphoracle | talk 20:51, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
If anything, for PVE i think it should be buffed to cover earshot. ATM for me an Ele who is obviously backlining, i rarely get any energy from it, unless a stray warrior comes upto me.
it's good in farming build or if you tank with spells like shadowform Rhonin Soren 21:08, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Competitive mission and AB[edit]

Not so much AB, but i do believe this would work well in CMs on a healer, most places a healer would be is near a group of NPC while everyone else is trying to take them out, my experience in FA for the kurzick side is the healer can be surround pretty easily once the enemy is past the inner gates coming up to green gate, and in JQ, there is alot of narrow passages to run around in, and ab... well who hasn't seen 2 big groups of red and blue dots on thier compass. :P --72.141.117.114 15:31, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

This owned us in TA, too, when we were running RaO. Build wars. -Prose 01:48, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

just right for pvm[edit]

It might need a tweak for pvp, otherwise, its the perfect skill for monk heroes. Add that Power drain, and he'll never run dry.

You best be trollin'. User Raine R.gif is for Raine, etc. 00:56, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
Not so good for monk heros. Unless they use something like Healing Whisper they are(should be) going to be way outa range. Against caster/ranged attackers this skill will gain nothing. The only great thing about this for hero monks would be the fact you can set them to passive and put a pathetic amount of attribute points into it and have the same effectivness (whatever that may be). I suppose if you like to slop pvm then this skill would show to be brilliant in a backwords kinda way. Justice 00:50, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Doesn't work on heroes[edit]

I've been testing it thoroughly, put it on Tahlkora in the middle of a 12 mobs battle, she was standing in the middle, she was out of energy, she used a 5 energy spell, after the spell was cast (successfully), she didn't regain any energy. She was down to 0 and slowly going back up.

Dont put her in mobs of mesmer iboglas then. --NeilUser Neil2250 sig icon6.png 21:52, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
