Underpowered?

Is it just me, or is this skill really in need of a buff? For 25 energy, this pales in comparison to many other ice hexes... I guess if used with them to maintain 66% slower it'd have some use, but I still can't find many ways to effectivly use this.Barkingllama 01:43, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

The thing with Deep Freeze is 1. the slow duration is fixed and not scaled, and 2. It has the largest AoE that spells can get (so far).--Ryudo 05:25, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Largest AoE that Targeted spells can get anyway, there's a few Point plank AoEs that stretch that far, like Shockwave. --Ckal Ktak 15:45, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

What about using with Auspicious Incantation?

As the cooldowns of the two (after applying the extra recharge from auspicious) are quite similar, and the energy gain is massive (with attunement up and moderate inspiration, you'll gain somewhere in the area of 20-25 energy after the cost of the Deep Freeze). In fact, if you're a Mes primary, you can negate some of it's cast time, and the extra pts you could have had in water magic don't matter too much, as the snare time is constant. --99.250.53.23 22:57, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

Definetly works well on primary mes, perhaps not the most useful thing a mes could be doing though and uses 2 skill slots. Good nonetheless. K2K 09:49, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
