AWWWW no more halloween stuff :( 24.141.45.72 20:50, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Looking forward to TAing this weekend :D — Skuld 21:06, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Firstly does this affect RA, and also is this the start of a possible future of Costume Brawl/ hero battles arena for teams?--Renegade 21:23, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

The build seems to be bugged. The only map available is the beach. Load screen says we're loading into the RA and the teams seem to be RA, too (I didn't ask the opponents to verify this, though). Also, after fight, the team gets deposited into the RA. --Shillo 21:56, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Had a 14 game streak and at first the first like 6 matches were on beach, then we started getting other places but out of all the 14 games like 9 were on beach... :( Anti 22:49, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Nice Try[edit]

Weel i was playing in RA/TA, when i saw, that Anet put some maps from HB, in the rotation. If i want to play in this maps i go to HB, so, why this? The only thing that makes me play GW was RA/TA and GvG, now RA/TA was gone, so GvG, do not deserve that i play this game only for GvG....thx Anet, i think u lost more players atm with this update.....--[[User:Supermax|Supermax]] 01:05, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

TERRIBLE UPDATE. First the dishonor system, now this? Are you just trying to get me to quit RA for good? I kind of enjoyed RA between GvGs, though dishonor made me have to seek ways to entertain myself while playing a game meant to entertain me... Guess now I'll just have to idle in vent and play some other game instead, since this does an even better job of killing RA than dishonor did. Pluto 01:18, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Just would like to point out, I don't think it will be too terrible in TA, where your team will actually be organized. In fact, I think it may promote more balanced builds, since you need to be able to be mobile for the shrine maps, but still have to have good 4v4 abilities. Gimmicky recall builds won't be able to dominate both game types, and neither will overpowered 4-man stomp builds. RA just does not have the organization required for this game-play type. Pluto 01:36, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
I agree this can be a good addition to TA. However in RA it is never going to work. Shrine cap in the lowest level PvP is not a great idea. Maybe add a kind of shrine capping RA where you only have capping maps or something like that. In its current state, while I usually enjoy testing weird stuff in RA, I won't be going to RA with the new setup. --Faena 11:29, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
I believe the phrase is QQ. Is says quite clearly in the update that this is temporary, and it doesn't at all indicate that RA was supposed to be included. So before you quit GW forevar how about waiting to see if it sticks? - User HeWhoIsPale sig.PNG HeWhoIsPale 12:08, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

Well, GW is now going down the fucking shitter. The decline was noticed with nightfall, but now it's just getting fucking ridiculous. First the shitty dishonourable system which basically lets sore losers and petty kids get their own way, and then slaughtering RA? Well GFG, looks like WoW sounds appealing for once. 77.96.223.11 00:34, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Actually, there is no decline in active playerbase. There's actually an increase of 25% or more. Compare how many districts there were in last year's Halloween event to this year's Halloween event. Lightblade 03:46, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

The new RA/TA maps are extremely fun imo.

More like extremely time consuming, for RA anyway. 2 unorganized random groups who don't know what they're doing = 10 minute fights almost every time, it's probably not as bad in TA since the builds have synergy and the teams can cooperate. But this was a horrible thing to apply to random arenas. I and I'm sure many players go to RA for quick, unorganized chaotic fights that last 3 minutes at the max. If I wanted to run around capping shrines I'd rather HB or AB. -- 97.100.141.74 17:51, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

I like the concept of HB with four real players, but I am disappointed that it was thrown into the RA/TA rotation. I've always enjoyed the quick and simple slug fest style of arenas over capping. There are already cap points in Competitive Missions, AB, HB, HA, and Isle of Wurms in GvG. Do we really need cap points in every form of PvP in the game? --Rururrur 18:43, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

HB Maps in RA[edit]

HB maps in RA are a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE addition. Not only do they put a halt to the fast frenzied play that RA is for (because they take forever to win/lose), but they are bad for another reason: HB maps were designed for just that, HB. HB is a place where you can plan and structure your team of hero AI. In RA, the teams are not structured or planned, and usally chao ensues because the random people don't know how to coordinate effectivly. So please TAKE THE HB MAPS OUT AND GIVE US BACK GOOD OLD RA PLEASE. --Hawk SkeerUser Hawk Skeer Assassin.png 21:41, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Until you scale back Assassins so they're not I Win buttons in skirmishes, these maps need to go. Costume Brawl worked because teams of 5 allowed a greater gamut of strategy, the bars were better-balanced, and people weren't stuck devoting a slot to rez sig only to see it become near-useless. Oh yeah, the matches take too long too.

It's a novel concept, but if you're going to do it, put it on a separate rotation, and preferably increase the team size. Riotgear 16:15, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Seconded, I absolutely abhor the HB maps in RA/TA. Every time of these maps load, I can literally hear a collective groan coming from both teams. That is, if half the players haven't quit or resigned already. --Dash 23:53, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I think they've "tested" this long enough now. Everyone hates it, take em out so I can play RA again. Showb1z 12:54, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Indeed. --Hawk SkeerUser Hawk Skeer Assassin.png 15:10, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
