Trivia[edit]

No, a winged dragon really does not resemble a giant snake that eats people. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 14:23, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

There are no dragons anywhere here. Krait are snake-like creatures. "Krait" itself is the name of a kind of snakes. Quetzalcoatl literally means 'feathered snake', and one of its forms depicts it as a giant flying snake. A Krait Devouss is a flying Krait, they may fly with wings but they do have feathers so that makes them 'flying feathered snakes'. The Tarnished Coast does have Aztec theming in its buildings, and Asura armors and clothing also have Pre-Columbian themes, that makes anything in the Tarnished Coast have a high probability of being related to Pre-Columbian cultures like the Aztecs or the Maya. So this trivia does make sense. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 14:58, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
I'd say the trivia: looks like a Saltspray Dragon would be more accurate. Da Mystic Reaper 15:29, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
Perhaps I phrased that badly, there is no resemblence between any of the pictures on the wikipedia link and the picture of the krait devouss. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 15:53, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
The wikipedia doesn't have all depictions of Quetzalcoatl, in many depictions it has wings, just like Devouss Krait. Also, there isn't any similarity between the typical depiction of many other creatures in GW like kirin, trolls, giants, behemoths, demons, centaurs, minotaurs, tengu, ogres, most dragons and many other creatures based on existing mythical ore real creatures or either and the ones seen on GW. Guild Wars has a quite unique style of artwork. That's why a 'flying feathered snake' in an area with Pre-Columbian style is close enough to a Quetzalcoatl even though the name doesn't match. Also, the trivia doesn't state that it's based on Quetzalcoatl, it only states that it's similar, and the similarities are undeniable. that picture is way too blurry to be similar to anything 24.130.140.36 17:29, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
You can see a big Krait Devouss just outside Vlox's Falls in Arbor Bay. It's a monk with no resurrections, so you can kill its party members and keep it alive to see it as much as you want without problems. You can also just click in the picture in this article to see it bigger. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 20:44, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
That is a Krait Necross not a Krait Devouss, the picture is simply wrong. Da Mystic Reaper 21:03, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
^wrong reaper. Necross have two legs. Devouss have none. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 21:23, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
