This quest is rather long--if you have Jade Flats outpost open, it's easier to start there in the beginning because right outside is where the first NPC is. After that, you will have to go east of the Jade Flats to kill the boss, then map back to Cavalon or from Gyala Hatchery to meet that last NPC.
