Talk:Preserved Red Iris Flower

Emmm... how the hell did the Prophecies pre-searing Red Iris Flower have gotten in here? Even preserved, but you would think of something like an EotN quest that the reward is the Iris Flower, and it can be some insane weapon for Gwen, like +50 damage again Charr :P 217.132.67.83 20:22, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

A bit late to the conversation, but since this was never answered: my take on it is that it was supposed to be an indication that Gwen is still alive. The fact that this flower is found so far from Ascalon must have meant that Gwen has been there before the player. It foreshadows the fact that she is not only alive, but that she still has a bigger role to play than that of a random girl sitting at home. Of course, with EotN's story being released, it doesn't make much sense for her to have been in Kourna, but I guess that this was not set in stone yet at the time of Nightfall being released. -arnosluismans (talk) 08:13, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

For a Prophecies character, is it necessary to get this to trigger all of Gwen's quests/dialogs? Or is it more worthwhile getting only the Prophecies-related items?

Is the dialogue only for Prophecies characters?[edit]

It wouldn't make sense for a Nightfall character to have met Gwen "long ago", would it? The dialog seems more appropriate for a Prophecies character from pre-Searing Ascalon. --115.132.103.177 02:59, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

Pretty sure the dialogue is for everyone, as the Fire and Pain quest is for characters of all campaigns. It's just an oversight, sort of, in every campaign all the dialogue assumes the character is native to that continent (i.e. went through the tutorial areas of the respective campaign), exceptions being the quests/minimissions for transferring between campaigns, which obviously assume the character was not native for said campaign. EotN takes place in Tyria, hence the assumption of all characters being Tyrian/Ascalonian. Jeree95 (talk) 11:23, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
