Holding the Flame Staff

It is worth mentioning that while holding the Flame Staff the effects of any weapon or focus item is canceled - i.e. health or energy - so when facing mobs it is a good idea to drop the staff and then pick it up again when they have been cleared. Moebius the Malign 18:42, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Bug

This quest has a bug, because when I tried to do it, I did everything the quest says but I couldn't get reward cause nothing but killing the boss was lined over in the quest information.--84.202.1.30 16:01, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Same thing happened to me. Some of the spawns in the last chamber are delayed (the matriarch, in particular), and don't seem to happen if you're not standing near the eggs. If you've burnt all the eggs but the matriarch never popped up, run back to the other group of eggs to trigger the spawn. I also found the comment 'There are three groups of eggs to burn here...' a little misleading. Depending how you count them, there's either one group on each side (5 piles of eggs each), or two groups on either side (a group of two piles of eggs and a group of three piles); wasted a lot of time looking for the group I thought I missed. 69.117.254.31 01:30, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
