Talk:Signet of Aggression

Very strange skill, really not very useful.

Firstly it's conditional, and secondly, in the 1s that I'm casting this signet I could just hit anenemy and get one strike of adrenaline anyway. It is one of the only ways to gain adrenaline outside of abttle, but compared to just hitting something, it's not good.

Maybe an increase to 2 adrenaline would be better; decerasing the recharge wouldnt' matter as you could still get adrenaline just as fast by just attacking. Maestro Ed 04:00, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

You boobs! This isn't a battle skill its for keeping your adrenaline outside of it. Done25 04:03, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Glad to see this change implemented, with a shorter recharge too! Maestro Ed 22:39, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Paragon are easy to kill since by just by having a blocking skill they can't do squat. Using this(outside or inside of battle, whatever) you can build up your adrenaline for other skills and not look like a dumbass trying to pass a blocking skill.--ShadowFog 12:04, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
This is kinda useful now it gives you two strikes, since that's one per three seconds on average, but ofc it stops you from attacking for a second (and is there an aftercast?) so with a 33% IAS, it's like having 16.7% more adrenaline... great. However, the big advantage of it is that outside battles you can keep up your adrenaline, though that's more useful for PvE than PvP (though I guess you can charge up all your skills before a fight, which is useful). Needs a 0.5½ second cast time though, imo.

err...[edit]

And this will be used...where again? "Yes, I'll waste a skill slot to gain 2 add. That is because I am r smurt." Also, pls buff RotN so it isn't elite and suck just as bad as this skill does. Readem (talk*gwwcontribs) 23:22, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

The only uses I can think of are with Vocal Was Sogolon or Lyric of Zeal. -- Gordon Ecker 06:59, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
Actually looking ahead... this has synergy with Symbolic Strike comming in GW:EN... Signet of Aggression, Healing Signet, Dolyak Signet and Resurrection Signet... use Signet of Aggression twice before battle and you got +40 attack on the first hit... better then Cleave at 4 Adr. And you still would have 3 more places for Skills. And I think because its Paragon Secondary... I might even add in Remedy Signet to make it +50 dmg... I like the change. - SabreWolf, Clan Heavy Metal

Used for Adr Upkeep?[edit]

After battles, the Warrior losses all his built up Adr which is kind of a waste... could this skill prevent that Adr from going away? Like each time you use this skill it will reset the clock? - SabreWolf, Clan Heavy Metal

Yes. He'll get 2 adren on top of what he already had, and it won't disappear. This is a non-elite, signet version of Rage of the Ntouka. -Auron 11:23, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the answer mate... I'll be sure to use this in my upcomming W/P build - SabreWolf, Clan Heavy Metal

Mesmer Adren Spike?^^[edit]

Well, I just got the idea that maybe a mesmer with high fc and his skills to minimize the recast time of signets could build up adrenaline...but i donno if sb could archieve anything with this... —ZerphatalkThe Improver 12:47, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Bleh, I'd use this if it had no casting time. xD Halogod35 18:06, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

note[edit]

no use in combat? it works in combat just fine...as a matter of fact forgetting the dmg of an attack this is 1sec activation and double adren. removing note--Justice 09:15, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

typo[edit]

"Is useful between battles to build and maintain adrenaline and start the next battle with all adrenal skills charged. "

Anyway i only equiped this skill during lower levels to maintain adrenaline so i can charge into battle and use my high dmg 7# adrenaline skills :)

Good if you don't use a weapon but want adrenaline skills[edit]

I've actually found a use for this. If you have a Paragon hero that does not use Spear skills (e.g. just Leadership + Motivation skills), this is a way to get adrenaline for a couple of the juicy motivation skills. For example, I have a P/Rt hero with Leadership + Motivation skills plus Splinter Weapon, but no spear skills. Without a spear, he casts Splinter Weapon a whole lot more.Gigashadow 07:49, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

You get more adrenaline from just spear autoattacking. 2.24.243.20 00:05, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Possible synergy[edit]

Signet of Aggression + For Great Justice! = <3. In PvE, at least. --Aldarik 05:19, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

To The Limit![edit]

So, now that TTL! has 100% uptime we have an out-of-combat adrenaline engine, even in PvP. Cirian 18:40, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
