Comparison opinion[edit]

These apes are incredibly annoying, but do show off Ritualists' amazing support abilities. A Healing Monk doesn't compare to a Restoration Ritualist. 70.234.240.10 02:22, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

Yes, that must be why monks were in every meta in the history of Guild Wars and rits were only there when they could exploit gimmicks like Splinter Weapon or Destructive was Glaive. Rits are definitely better. -Auron 03:58, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
At least in PvE, a Ritualist can usually provide more survivability than a Healing Monk could, as the former has not only comparable redbar capability, but also some equivalent of a Monk's Protection Prayers built into a single Attribute- Restoration. Not only that, but a Monk's true strength in keeping his party members alive generally comes from his Divine Favor and/or his Elite Skill. A secondary Ritualist focused on Restoration is just as or even more capable, especially with certain primary Professions' energy management via Primary Attribute, of maintaining his party's health without an elite skill (hence a N/Rt generally being 1/3 of the Discord-spikers in a team) or any Spawning Power. I apologize if my comment on a PvE monster and the controversial statement that followed offended any, possibly PvP-oriented sensibilities of yours.70.234.240.10 12:02, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
